چکیده
Abstract Background Unemployment has been linked with a myriad of adverse health outcomes; however, its population-level impact on cardiovascular mortality (CVM), particularly amongst various demographic subgroups, remains understudied. Purpose To determine the county unemployment levels CVM rates, in overall and between different subgroups. Methods We utilized CDC WONDER database tool to retrieve county-level rates for U.S. counties 2010 2019. The County Health Rankings project was used data each as well other characteristics an adjusted multivariate model. Generalized linear mixed models using Poisson regression were estimate relative (incidence rate ratios; IRR) absolute (additional yearly deaths; AYD) measures. Results From 2019, total 2904 (64.2% white; 50.81% female) available analyzed. In model composition, CV risk, socioeconomic, environmental, healthcare-access factors, significantly associated higher (IRR: 1.026; 95% CI: 1.018 1.033; 6.00 AYD). strongest elderly Blacks 1.051; 1.029 1.074), middle-aged whites 1.050; 1.032 1.067), females 1.046; 1.075). highest (AYD: 94.70), Whites 35.30), 32.70). On basis, more pronounced 1.030; 1.015 1.044) compared 1.022; 1.014 1.030), 1.017 1.036) males 1.031), 1.036; 1.016 1.057) 1.022 1.038). Conclusion(s) is CVM, this most vulnerable namely Blacks. Efforts reduce may lower burden disease, groups strongly affected by disparities. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

After controlling for other influences, in particular income’s impact on homeownership rates, we find that the homeownership itself has a strong and statistically significant negative effect on both violent and property crime rates. Moreover, we fin...
